Contest rules
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE DRAW
This “$3,000” Contest to Give New Life to Your Home! ” is sponsored by Magog-Orford Painting, 56 10th Avenue North, 56 10th Avenue North, Sherbrooke, Quebec, J1E 2S9. The Contest starts on March 20, 2025 at 12:01am (Eastern Time) and ends on May 16, 2025 at 11:59pm (Eastern Time). All monetary amounts in this document are calculated in Canadian dollars (CDN).
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION:
This contest is open to legal residents of Estrie (Quebec) and persons who reside in other regions of Quebec but near Estrie (for example, in the vicinity of Sherbrooke) are eligible, if applicable. Participants must have reached the age of majority (18). Peinture Magog-Orford or its employees, representatives, agents or persons with whom they are domiciled cannot participate in this Contest. The Contest is subject to all applicable provincial and federal laws and regulations. By taking part in the Competition, participants (legal guardians, if applicable) undertake to accept and respect the terms of the Official Rules herein.
PRICE:
There will be one (1) Grand Prize draw at the end of the Contest Period. This award is worth up to three ($3,000 CAN) Canadian dollars for an exterior siding renovation (vinyl, aluminum, stucco, brick, engineered wood, fiber cement). For contracts with a total cost of less than $3,000, the winner will not receive the difference in funds.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
For a chance to win the Grand Prize, the candidate must complete our competition form as well as book a home consultation to paint the exterior of their home by the May 15 competition deadline, and have completed the consultation and received a quote for their proposed project. Peinture Magog-Orford reserves the right to disqualify anyone.

SELECTION OF THE WINNER:
A winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries from booked and completed consultations conducted between March 20, 2025 and May 15, 2025. The winner will be selected at Peinture Magog-Orford, in the presence of a witness, located at 56 10th Avenue North, Sherbrooke, Quebec, Quebec, J1E 2S9. The selection will take place on June 1, 2025 (ET).
WINNER NOTIFICATION PROCESS:
The winner will be notified by telephone within one (1) working week following his selection. If the winner cannot be reached or does not claim their prize after five (5) business days, another winner will be selected.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
No correspondence regarding the Contest will be exchanged except with potential winners. Peinture Magog-Orford assumes no responsibility for errors in this Contest.
Participants certify that they are not knowingly damaging or causing an interruption of the contest and/or preventing others from taking advantage of the contest, as prohibited by law.
Peinture Magog-Orford assumes no responsibility in the event of a failure of the website during the promotion of this Competition or for technical problems or failures in computer systems, servers, access providers, access providers, computer hardware, software or electronic messaging. Peinture Magog-Orford assumes no responsibility for entries lost, received too late, received too late, received too late, misdirected, or ineligible, or for any computer or online failures, human errors, or technical defects that may occur in connection with the administration of this Contest. Peinture Magog-Orford does not give any guarantee as to the content, accuracy or completeness of this information or the timelines mentioned in it, nor does it guarantee that it can be relied upon for any reason whatsoever. Peinture Magog-Orford disclaims all liability for the representation and warranties, express or implied, in fact or in law, in connection with all prices. By claiming a prize, the winner agrees to assume all risks and accepts that the prize be awarded provided that Peinture Magog-Orford assumes NO responsibility for injuries, losses, deaths, or other damages, of any nature whatsoever, caused by the prize or resulting from the acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of the prize or the winner's participation in this Contest. When a advertising contest is cancelled or changes are made to it after the form provided for in section 59 of the Act respecting lotteries, advertising contests and amusement devices (RLRQ c. L-6) has been produced at the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, the person for whose benefit the contest is held must immediately notify the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux in writing. However, this person cannot cancel an advertising contest or make any change in it from the moment it is launched in the public, unless the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux authorizes it upon proof of fortuitous event or force majeure or that the person believes that the public will not be harmed. Peinture Magog-Orford will respect the standards set out by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, especially if substantial changes are made after the launch of the competition.
Prizes cannot be exchanged or transferred without the written permission of Peinture Magog-Orford. Peinture Magog-Orford reserves the right to replace the prices if those described are not available for a reason beyond its control. In the event that it is impossible to offer an equivalent replacement price, Peinture Magog-Orford reserves the right to offer a price of less value than the original price or not to remit this portion of the price.
The odds of winning are determined by the number of individuals who participate in the Contest.
Information collection practices. Personal information (and all forms of content, including photos, videos, etc.) collected in connection with this Contest will be used by Peintre Magog-Orford: (1) to administer the Contest, including the announcement of the winner and the inclusion of the winner's name on public channels and networks, including social networks and (2) for future advertising/marketing activities of Peintre Magog-Orford. Peinture Magog-Orford will disclose personal information to its staff as part of their tasks related to the Competition. This Contest is subject to Peinture Magog-Orford's privacy policy.
All costs associated with the receipt and use of the prizes, including transportation, surcharges, fees, taxes (federal, provincial, and local), and contingencies, are the sole responsibility of the winner of this Contest.Paint
Magog-Orford does not accept any commitment or liability for accidents, losses or damages of any kind arising from this Contest or its prize.
In addition to all of the above conditions, the selected winner of this Contest (and their legal guardian, if applicable) must sign a declaration of eligibility, license and discharge form, in the form prescribed by Magog-Orford Painting within five (5) business days of being selected as a Grand Prize winner.
Any person selected who does not meet the terms set out in these Rules will be disqualified. If, for any reason, winners are disqualified, another winner will be selected, at the sole and absolute discretion of Magog-Orford Painting.

For residents of Quebec: A dispute concerning the organization or conduct of a advertising contest may be submitted to the Régie des Alcools, des Courses et des Jeux for resolution. A dispute over the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of intervening in an attempt to resolve it.
